Seymour

It is one of the most visited islands, as many boats having just picked up their passengers at Baltra give an immediate panga trip to Seymour.

The landing is a dry one direct onto a rocky shore and immediately visitors are aware of animals and birds. Sea lions sun themselves and there are blue-footed boobies, tropicbirds, lava gulls, swallow-tailed gulls, noddy terns and pelicans. Marine iguanas are also present.

There are two major nesting sites, one for blue-footed boobies and one for frigatebirds

Bartolome

The geology is interesting in that there are a large number of cinder cones and spatter cones, giving a major part of the island a 'moonscape' appearance. It is possible to climb to the summit of a volcano (now inactive) to obtain a magnificent view.

There is also a wet landing onto a sandy beach where there is an opportunity for snorkelling. Penguins and sea lions often swim through, making it a unique experience. From this beach one gets a very good view of a tuff cone called Pinnacle Rock, probably the most well known and photographed geological formation in the Galapagos Islands.

From this beach there is a trail through mangroves and across the centre of the island to another beach. Here it is possible to see rays, turtles and white-tipped sharks very close to the shore. Pelicans are also often present

Hotel Finch Bay

Spacious first class hotel located on Charles Darwin Avenue next to our dive center. Hotel has swimming pool, internet access, air-conditioned rooms, Cable TV, Restaurant, Safety box (only superior class). Two rooms categories. All rooms with view to the Bay.

Hotel Fernandina

Located only three blocks away from our dive center. This hotel has 20 rooms, all of which are air-conditioned, with private bath, pool, Jacuzzi, barbecue area, restaurant and bar. The hotel is surrounded by an innergarden. Class: Tourist superior.

Hotel Estrella del Mar

The most economic choice is this simple and clean hostel. It is a 3-minute walk to de dive center. The rooms have an ocean view and balcony overlooking Academy Bay. All have private bathrooms with hot showers.

Casa Marita

"La Casa de Marita" is located on Isablea island in the small fishing village of Villamil by the largest beach of Galápagos with more than 3 km of white sand and endemic plant life. This hotel has 13 rooms in an "Art Deco" fashion combining qualities of an international standard hotel with the familiar atmosphere of a vacation home.
